Thank you for your interest in joining the Downtime League.
The Downtime League is a casual coalition of VFX artists, managers, and supervisors who work on pre-selected pro bono, charity, or other low-to-zero budget projects during their company-sanctioned down time.
The Production and Pipeline crew at the Downtime League are VFX and post-production industry veterans themselves, who are:
1) crazy good (in a professionally demonstrated way) at organizing teams and artists across all sorts of time zones, hardware restrictions, pandemic crises and other 21st century obstacles
2) fully understanding that client feedback/approvals can often be delayed, or edit locks can be pushed again (and again) which result in incredibly qualified people occasionally sitting idle
3) passionate about facilitating access to & workability on worthy but underfunded projects. Once in a while there is space in hearts, workstations, AND the bottom line to assist on small but creatively, ethically, and/or culturally powerful projects, and that’s where Downtime League helps make the magic happen.
